Welcome to Cambridge!

We are your fresher reps � Hanna and Asher! We're really looking forward to meeting you when you arrive here. Our aim is to ensure that you not only have a great freshers� week in college but also at JSOC too.

For those of you who don�t know many other people coming to Cambridge and even for those who are coming with friends we are holding a pre-term event in an exclusive venue in London (to be disclosed at a later date...) on Sunday September 23th .

Here's some essential info for your first week in the Bridge:


ARRIVING IN CAMBRIDGE

We'll be looking forward to meeting you when you arrive and to welcome you, the first JSoc Friday night dinner you attend will even be free!

Cambridge JSoc caters for all Jewish students - from whatever background and level of observance - if you have any concerns about things clashing with Shabbat or upcoming festivals please get in contact with us.

FRESHERS' FAIR

Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd October sees the two day annual Freshers' Fair. We will be there at the JSoc stall, so stop by and say hi, get lots of freebies, open a CUJS meal account, and sign up as a JSoc member (gets you cheaper meals).


UPCOMING FESTIVALS - SH'MINI ATZERET & SIMCHAT TORAH

We will have a fantastic sukkah where our first few meals of term will be held. Drop by and enjoy it whenever you like! And Simchat Torah in Cambridge sees lots of eating, drinking and dancing , so we hope to see you there!

It's also a good idea to inform your admissions office at your college if you will need to miss anything - don't worry - the colleges and university are used to catering to everyone's individual needs.


EVENTS

Once term is underway they�ll be loads of opportunities, for undergrads and grads to escape from the hectic college scene for an evening, during the week, at JSoc and of course at our weekly Friday night dinners.
